Welcome to another round of timeless tarot horoscopes!

In case you’re new here: these are some quick one-card readings for each sign. I’ve written them to offer some guidance for the week ahead, but the timeline may look a little different for everyone. It may only depict a couple of days for one person or two weeks for another. Don’t stress about it — the specific number of days isn’t important.

You can look to your sun, moon, and/or rising signs for these — it’s all about what you resonate most with. Personally, I always look at my sun sign…

Journaling is one of the easiest and most straightforward ways to start shadow work. It’s not exclusive to beginners, though — it can prove to be a solid foundation for more seasoned shadow workers, too. After all, journaling is nothing if not versatile. There’s a nearly endless amount of prompts, it can be merged with other shadow work exercises, and it provides the catharsis of actually physically jotting down what haunts you. Not to mention, there’s the additional benefit of a written record to return to for later reflection.

I’ve compiled and curated some of my favorite prompts for you…

I asked multiple women, and here’s what they had to say

Trigger warning: This article touches on the subject of sexual harassment. Please take care of yourself, and don’t read it if you feel it would upset you.

She wears a Green Day t-shirt and dyes her hair a different color every month. She dedicates a half-hour to doing her eyebrows every morning, blasts pop-punk, and can drive, but not well.

She’s a human being and is probably just trying her best.

Now let’s say she likes trendy dresses and TikTok dances and staying out late with all her friends. Still human; still probably trying her best.

It’s no secret we…

Welcome to the seventh installment in my blog series on the major arcana! We’re chatting about each card individually — their meanings, numerological implications, ruling planet or sign, and how to form personal associations with them. In the last article we discussed the Hierophant; today we’re covering the Lovers.

Defining the Lovers

Keywords: Love, duality, partnership, inner alignment, choice

At this point, everyone knows the foundation of The Lovers card: meaningful relationships and divine love, often in a romantic context. If this card pops up in a reading, you may be building or deepening a soul-level connection with a loved one. This could…

#1. You haven’t learned to embody those qualities yet

Have you ever looked up your sun sign characteristics and immediately thought: That’s so not me?

It’s more common than you might think. Because the fact of the matter is this — not everyone resonates with their sun sign. And in case you’re new to astrology: your sun sign is the sign that the sun was in when you were born, and it’s often what we immediately answer when someone asks us what sign we are.

For example, I was born in mid-September, so I’m a Virgo. My little sister was born in early July, so she’s a Cancer. But…

Perfectionism ruins everything

Pressure. Imposter syndrome. Perfectionism.

They suck the joy out of making art.

It’s incredibly hard to focus on a piece when you’re busy thinking things like anyone could do this better, or why can’t I get that line right, or I’ll never be good enough. Often, we spend hours on a work — in any medium — only to stare at the finished product and want to tear our hair out.

Now, I am not a professional artist by any means. I’m a kid who loved doodling and writing, who then grew up to be an adult who loves doodling and writing. …

And frankly, can we blame them?

I cried my way through Intro to Studio Art. It was my first class of the day, held in a cold, damp room down a winding concrete hallway on the third floor of the campus center.

I’d walk there in the rain, clutching the mug of coffee I technically wasn’t supposed to bring into the studio, my bag overflowing with sketchpads and charcoal sticks.

There were maybe thirteen of us. …
